Brian Cope has over 35 years of professional services marketing, sales and client service experience. He started his career in the institutional investment industry in which he held increasingly responsible positions for sales, service and marketing in trust and insurance companies. He was Vice President Marketing for a major trust company before accepting the challenge of working in professional services. He was the first Director of Marketing for McCarthy Tetrault and has consulted to professional firms for the last 16 years. His mandates have included marketing audits, strategic planning retreats, rebranding, personal coaching and a wide range of related matters. He is widely published on marketing for professional firms including the seminal article on the future of law firm marketing for LEXPERT. He has spoken at many conferences for professional firms on marketing, client service and sales including sessions for The Law Society of Upper Canada. Brian has completed assignments for many law firms, including Fraser Milner Casgrain, Aird & Berlis and Thompson Rogers, amongst others.
